In December 2022, at the initiative of the administration of Nizhny Tagil and the EVRAZ company, work began on the development concept for the Old Demidov Factory site. CM International and a consortium of experts from St. Petersburg and Moscow conducted extensive analytical work, with a particular focus on involving active residents, specialists, experts, and businesses in the project development process and its subsequent implementation. To facilitate closer engagement, a platform was created at demidov-park.ru, where residents could submit proposals, ideas, and share stories related to the factory.

The territory and the Old Demidov Factory itself represent a unique industrial cultural heritage site. The project's goal is to preserve this legacy and make it valuable to both local residents and visitors from across Russia.

The project envisions the creation of a new cultural, educational, and scientific-technical center for modern Nizhny Tagil through the careful revitalization of the city’s historical center. Throughout the project, we developed functional and socio-cultural models, which will include facilities demanded by residents, tourists, experts, and business representatives: a technology park, museums, an exhibition space, and quality housing with all necessary services.
