pop-up activation of the territory of Moscow's main distillery

how to revitalize the factory area while preserving the spirit of the space?

“19:01 at Kristall” is a pop-up space aimed at reactivating the territory of the former Kristall factory and showcasing its potential.

The transformation program for the area was managed by the CM International team—we took on the creation of a new landscaping concept for “19:01 at Kristall,” developing the architecture of small forms and art objects. After the opening of the creative space, the area around the central fountain transitioned from a transit zone into a full-fledged relaxation spot, with comfortable chairs, tables, and loungers installed nearby.

From Friday to Sunday, parties and concerts take place here, with the music program curated by Tatiana Andrianova, an independent cultural and music expert and the art director of the Strelka bar. In the mornings, the space transforms into an outdoor yoga class and a venue for creative workshops, while during the day, visitors can enjoy performances by the best experimental theaters on stage. The project “Moscow Through the Eyes of an Engineer” introduces visitors to the historical territory of the factory.

The name “19:01 at Kristall” references both 1901, the date of the official opening of the “Moscow State Wine Warehouse No. 1” (the future Kristall factory), and the time when the factory ends its workday and the evening leisure begins.
